I've been offering private percussion instruction to students in northern Virginia for over eight years. I hold a bachelor's degree in music education and composition from Longwood University, and a masters degree in jazz performance from the University of Maryland. Several of my students have gone on to study music at the collegiate level, but I accept students of any age, and any level of proficiency. I've studied with Dave Goiser, Lowell Harper, and I spent three years studying with big band specialist Steve Fidyk.
I have also taken lessons with or attended clinics by Roy Haynes, Joe Morello, Dave Brubeck, Jim Chapin, Branford Marsalis, Trilok Gurtu, Dennis Chambers, Steve Smith, Tim Alexander, Bobby Sanabria, Greg Bissionette, Ralph Peterson, Carl Allen, Phil Woods, Shawn Pelton, Christian McBride, Thomas Lang, Dave Friesen, Steve Davis, Eric Alexander, Don Braden, among others...
